Key Two Details

In the past we longed to be struck “normal” regarding the food and eating. But like the apostle Paul, we have since matured to understand that God’s grace is sufficient. We no longer see a food plan as a restriction, but as a God-given tool to break free. Moreover, as we see our clear and clean days mount into years of continuous abstinence, we become convinced of God’s miraculous presence in our everyday life. People who observe us may think that it is will power, but we haven’t forgotten how we use to eat, and we KNOW that only God himself is giving us the willingness to be so obedient with food and eating.

It is vitally important the the newcomer understands that the guidelines that we follow with our food are not “on again/off again”. There are no “cheat days” in God-honoring eating. We call on the Holy Spirit to follow our food plan with honesty and diligence. We stay abstinent 24/7, “without exception, no matter what”, because we understand that we are dealing with spiritual warfare. Our compulsive overeating weakens our witness and interferes with our passion for the things of Christ. We are convinced that God wants us abstinent and we claim His strength to stand firm.
